Ashiyana-Retreat-Center in Mandrem
Ashiyana is a peaceful, tropical retreat centre located on the magical and unspoiled
Mandrem Beach. The centre has been created as a space where people may dive
deep inside and discover their inner peace of being. The main area of Ashiyana is set
in a beautiful palm grove fronting the Mandrem River. This area has most of the
accommodation (comprising of stone houses and Indonesian-style wooden tree-
houses), the restaurant, the yoga spaces (shalas), and endless little spaces to
relax and contemplate the abundance of nature.
Across the river from here is the beach land, which has additional accommodation in
the form of beach huts, and takes you right to the virgin sand in Goa’s quietest beach.
The workshops and retreats take place in three beautiful shalas. All of the shalas are
either enclosed or are able to be made totally private. The drop-in yoga, which takes
place twice daily at Ashiyana, will be incorporated into all of the retreats.
